Ah, Freedom...

When I finally got together with Carl (the director of the AMT program) to tell him I wasn't going to take the teaching job, it turned out to be quite simple.

I just said, Um, I'm not going to take the teaching job. And he said Okay, no problem.

I didn't have to explain all my personal reasons for bailing out, and he was thanking me for letting him know now. Like it wasn't a short notice thing at all. Well, I guess in his world time works differently. I felt like it was kinda leaving him hanging. Probably it just put some other teacher back in the running and now he is going to be overworked.

Better him than me I guess.

In any case, he said that the class will be open for me if I want to do it next year. Nice to know. We'll see if I want to go there in a year.

Meanwhile, ONLY ONE MORE WEEK (and two days) TO GO!!!!!
