Being a private pilot with a plane (C172) I have been certified as an aircraft mechanic so I can work on the plane and know what I am doing and have FAA approval.

Above & Beyond, Inc

Yesterday I suddenly realized that I should call the shop and see how busy they are. Turns out: VERY. I jumped into the car and sped off to work. The shop was jumping, planes everywhere and the phone ringing off the hook with inquiries from transients and others who need us to Fix Things.

Today I changed the spark plugs in Randy W's Cherokee, worked on a Cessna 182 by checking the oil screen, replacing the oil, checking the gascolator, and opening tons of panels for the annual, as well as take off the exhaust and baffling to get ready to pull a couple of cylinders that had really low compression. Also took the wheel pants off another C182 for Joel to check the bearings (lucky for all that I still had the set that I had not yet used from our plane), and did general all round bone aching and muscle twisting stuff. I LOVE IT!

Though I am REALLY sore and tired.

Goodnight, I am off to my soft and lovely bed-- gotta get up early tomorrow and Start All Over Again :-)
